HOW TO-PSP/Go Running REAL WORKING Emulators on 6.10/6.20 OFW!-[GREAT VIDEO QUALITY!!!!]

September 2nd, 2010 oli Posted in emulators No Comments »

PSPGo Running SNES, GBA, NES, GENESIS, GB/COLOR, N64, FBA Emulators using a Patapon2 Demo Exploit with a Hacked Save File. I only show SNES, GBA, and NES due to time constraints and file size limits. WORKS ON ALL PSP’S UP TO OFFICIAL FIRMWARE 6.20. No custom firmware required! I did not make this exploit but thanks to the team that did this! This is very easy to do! I am using a PSP Go with OFW 6.20. 6.10 also works. (worked on my friend’s PSP 3000 btw) I downloaded as many Emulators (and tested them) then the Patapon2 Demo with Save and the other files and placed them into a single download so you don’t have to do it seperately as I did. I included a few roms with each as well… NEW ALL-IN-ONE LINK!: www.megaupload.com Contains R95 and R97 with Capcom Emu and Game, plus all the other Emu’s I’ve listed below. Fixes the no sound issue on Pico Drive as well. RIN will no longer work on this revisions but a new GBC emu is included. I provided at least 1 rom with each emu. Link for replacement SNES emu. The other included in my link above no longer works for R95 or R97. At least on the PSP Go that is. www.megaupload.com 1) Extract the .rar from my link 2) Open the HBL Folder and copy the two files (hbl folder and h.bin file) to the root of your memory stick or internal memory for Go users-if you choose internal memory. IF YOUR PSP FREEZES THEN YOU LIKELY PLACED THE HBL FOLDER AND H.BIN FILE INTO ANOTHER FOLDER. It should be like this…My Computer–Memory Stick–HBL Folder

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX TAS by Swordless Link (1:00:02.68)

September 2nd, 2010 oli Posted in emulators No Comments »

This tool-assisted speedrun by Swordless Link (me) aims to beat The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX in as little a time as possible while still collecting all 8 instruments from the dungeons. It was made on an emulator, using frame-by-frame shooting, savestates, and rerecords to overcome things like reaction time and human error. As such, it is purely a form of entertainment, and is not designed to show skill. What separates this run from the glitched run is that no screenwarping or doghouse glitches are done in this run. It was the best way to define a category which would justify this run’s existence. This TAS is the result of 7 months of hard work on the game. My intial goal was to improve the previous run by at most, 2 minutes. I ended up beating it by 9 minutes and 47.25 seconds. I’m very proud of this run, and am more than satisfied with my final time. There’s no way this run would’ve been possible without help from others, most notably, Tompa, who devoted a lot of time to me and my run to help get it as good as it could be. This run was made by me. It should not be uploaded without first getting permission from me. Any anti-TAS comments will be deleted. Seriously, if you’re just going to call it “cheating” or something equally ridiculous, don’t even bother commenting at all, because I’ll just block you. Save us both a bit of time. The actual publication of the movie can be found here: tasvideos.org Check out TASVideos.org to find out more about tool-assisted

Let’s Play Super Mario TKO Part 2

September 1st, 2010 oli Posted in emulators No Comments »

What’s this, a video uploaded at the same time a previous video was uploaded last week? I must be sick or something. We get through Bullet Time and the Yellow Switch Palace. If you want to play along with the LP, there’s a demo of the game available at SMWCentral. www.smwcentral.net If you want to play along you need the following. – A Super Nintendo Emulator such as ZSNES or SNES9X. Google these if you don’t have them already. – A clean Super Mario World ROM (I will not help you find this, do not ask in the comments) – Lunar IPS to combine the clean SMW ROM and the demo: www.smwcentral.net Those are the basic tools you will need to play along. I won’t be able to help you guys get set up to play along if you don’t know already, sorry. There’s loads of tutorials online and here on Youtube on how to get set up though so search for them if you can’t figure it out. Let’s Play Chrono Trigger #02 – Fun & Games

August 31st, 2010 oli Posted in emulators No Comments »

In this episode, I play the mini-games at the Millenial Fair and explore a little more of our world. Thanks to everyone who suggested that I try the SNES9x emulator, which solved the performance lag issue instantly. Also, thanks to everyone who affirmed that I try Sony Vegas and use the Xvid codec. Special thanks to Lawlulz, who helped me adjust the settings in Sony Vegas to make this video. And special thanks to lob31, who helped me adjust the settings in CamStudio. And thank you all for watching! UPDATE: Sorry about the imperfect video quality here. It took me a few episodes to get it right.

Metal Slug X perfect game (levels 4 – 5)

The greatest ‘run and gun’ series ever made! Here’s me playing Metal slug all the way to the final mission without dying at all! What’s the secret?….always shoot first, always shoot fast, and never wait. I found the keyboard to be the best way to control. Played using KAWAKS emulator. No save states/cheats used.

Emulators on PS3 Linux

August 31st, 2010 oli Posted in emulators No Comments »

New website: www.thezerogameproject.com EDIT I am working on a script that will automate setting up something similar for your PS3 after installing YDL 6.1. Take a look at a preview of what you get when it’s installed here: www.youtube.com The original video I put up for this was quite rough as I used the PSP camera to film it. Hopefully this time around should be better as I used a proper camera as well as a tripod to film this. Here is the Wahcade emulator frontend running on Yellow Dog Linux 6.0 for the PS3. Both my controllers are connected by Bluetooth, emulators are stored on the PS3 but all the actual ROM images are stored on my computer and used over the network through Samba/Windows File Sharing. Wahcade has the ability to show video previews of your games which I don’t currently have working. For information on how to do this yourself, check out the Yellow Dog Linux message board – www.yellowdog-board.com – as well as the PS3 Bodega – http
